MeasureCamp Sessions

One of the factors that makes MeasureCamp an incredible experience is the unconference format.  At the start of the day, there is no agenda.  Instead, after MeasureCamp is declared open, anyone can add a card to the board, claiming a room and timeslot.  It is a slight free for all but the end result is an agenda filled with amazing ideas, topics and content.

MeasureCamp #3 Session Board

Sessions don’t have to be formal presentations, great to have a few of that format but MeasureCamp is more than a normal conference.  Instead they can be ideas for discussions, a brainstorming topic or even a question you just want answered.  I have even heard ideas this time for prearranged panels & debates.

We differ from other unconference events in that we encourage people to share their session ideas in advance.  This Session Description page is very sparse at the moment but it will end up with plenty of short descriptions in the near future.  Check out this version from MeasureCamp #2 for an idea of what is needed – then email keely@measurecamp.org to get your description added.

It would also be good to get some longer descriptions out there – in the form of short (or not so short) blog posts.  So, for a challenge to the community, can we get write ups of 20 session descriptions, we can then publish one per (week) day starting next Monday.  MeasureCamp is dependent upon the participation of attendees to make the event work & this would be an amazing start.  Can you email these longer session write-ups through to Keely & myself (peter@measurecamp.org), including the short description as well.  Feel free to introduce yourself as well and tell everyone why you are coming along to MeasureCamp.

Yes, we are running behind on publishing details of the training workshops, apologies for that.  Currently trying to resolve final issues, aiming to publish everything this week with tickets to go on sale next week.  Don’t forget the Jobs Board as well – starting to get a few jobs on there & would be great to add some more.
